On the morning of July 18, 2014, immediately after Typhoon Glenda ravaged large swathes of the Philippines, the brothers of the Phi Kappa Mu once again offered themselves in the service of the Filipino people. Led by Senior Guardian of the Temple Jose Jaime Lorenzo Claudio de Rivera Φ12, the Fraternity volunteered its aid to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in Pasay City, contributing to the national disaster relief efforts by packing no less than 450 family food packs to be distributed to our countrymen most devastated by the recent calamity.
This is but a start, as the Phi Kappa Mu Fraternity pledges to uphold its pillar of Service by responding, through relief efforts, to those which may be affected by future natural disasters, as well as through its Public Health Initiative Program, which at the moment focuses on providing relevant foreknowledge on relevant topics this rainy season.
In attendance at the relief efforts last July 18, 2014 were Senior Guardian of the Temple Jose Jaime Lorenzo Claudio de Rivera Φ12, Ryuichi Peralta Nakamura Φ13, Kevin Romeo Sangel Lucas Φ13, Jon Bryan Santiago Tiosin Φ13, and Jasper Paolo Ramos Viloria Φ13.
