In the heat of the battle, when there can be no margin for error, one cannot solely bet on himself. The game is played best when the team works as a single well-oiled machine, with each member focused on a single, collective goal. These fifteen men have answered the call of the Most Venerable Fold to form an unbreakable bond, one that goes beyond wins and losses. It is this bond that holds these men together, getting them past every challenge that threatens to hinder their advance. When the roar of the crowd has died down, and the screams and cheers have faded, what remains in the end is and always has been brotherhood.
“A candle loses nothing by lighting another candle.” The first of the Quarterbacks, Santiago Jose Rodolfo Publico Alandy-Dy (Diego), from Quezon City, lives his life devoted to helping those in need. A graduate of the BS Social Work program from the University of the Philippines Diliman, Diego is no stranger to the hardships faced by the Filipino people. Beyond his dedication to community development, Diego is often called a true sports aficionado. His heart belongs to basketball, football, and golf, but he approaches all sports with an open mind, eager to try anything that brings joy and camaraderie.
The batch leader Antonio Moscoso Alcantara Jr. (Tonyboy) proudly calls Antique his home— and much like a football field surrounded by roaring fans, his hometown’s stunning landscapes fuel his passion for life. The Quarterbacks’ batch leader also finds joy in swimming and cycling along provincial roads flanked by nature’s masterpieces. As a BS Public Health graduate from the University of the Philippines Visayas, he credits his undergraduate experiences for shaping his aspiration to improve healthcare for Filipinos. Now surrounded by like-minded individuals he considers brothers, Tonyboy draws inspiration from the role of a quarterback—facilitating the game, knowing when to step back and assess the situation, yet always ready to act decisively and seize once-in-a-lifetime opportunities.
Hailing from the city of Las Piñas, Alwin Adrian Ayana Angulo (Alwin) steps onto the field as the eldest of the batch. Having earned his Public Health degree from the University of the Philippines Manila, Alwin’s passion lies beyond the traditional bounds of the medical field. His heart beats strongest in the realm of public health, where collaboration and strategy lead to meaningful victories. Inspired by his work experience in occupational health, he aspires to take on a larger role in empowering communities and driving transformational change through health policy. This assistant batch leader finds joy in bringing people together—whether it’s learning new recipes and cooking for loved ones, singing, or managing his small sneaker business. In his downtime, he enjoys watching basketball, gaming, keyboard modding, and growing his Hirono collection. With his drive and vision, Alwin is ready to call plays that inspire change both on and off the field.
“To win in many victories is to walk in the fields of Elysium, a life lived in excellence.” These words define Kent Bryan Baisa Bermudez (Kent), hailing proudly from Pilar, Sorsogon. Kent’s commitment to excellence is mirrored in his academic success as a graduate of BS Biology from the University of the Philippines Los Baños. Kent’s goal is to become a 6-star physician, embodying the best of skill and service. Much like a quarterback who adapts to any situation, Kent’s versatility shines through in his talents—from mastering the piano and guitar to excelling in table tennis and chess. As he moves forward with his brothers, Kent’s vision is to unite diverse strengths into a single, powerful force, achieving excellence through brotherhood.
Mars Isidore Jimenea Cabatingan (Mars) from the vibrant province of Davao de Oro, brings with him a playbook filled with ambition and drive. Fresh off earning his Molecular Biology and Biotechnology degree from the University of the Philippines Diliman, Mars has dedicated years to studying the intricate mechanisms that govern the human body. But Mars isn’t just a scientist in a lab coat; he embraces the philosophy of well-roundedness like a quarterback who thrives in reading the field and rallying the team. Beyond the academic grind, he delves into sports like badminton, volleyball, and table tennis, while also mastering the art of plucked-string instruments such as the bandurria. Now, Mars takes on his newest challenge: stepping into the field of the Most Venerable Fold, seeking personal growth and the opportunity to serve the underserved, all while forging lifelong bonds with his brothers. Down in the field, Mars is ready to call the shots and leave a lasting legacy.
From the sun-kissed coasts of Bolinao, Pangasinan, and the laid-back streets of Las Piñas City, Paulo Louis Martinez De Perio (Paulo) brings with him the heart and spirit of two dynamic places, each shaping his approach to life’s game. A proud graduate of BS Biology, Major in Zoology, from the University of the Philippines Los Baños, Paulo’s journey is driven by a deep curiosity and an unyielding desire to understand the complexities of the world—a quarterback who reads the field, always looking for the next move. A true utility player, Paulo seamlessly switches between roles and strategies, whether it’s in the arts, sports, or practical skills. He believes that every skill, no matter how unexpected, can open doors, mirroring his approach to teamwork—seeking meaningful connections and opportunities. Guided by “Be kind. Always.” he embodies the spirit of a true team player, spreading positivity in every move. From this land rises Rashdi Sean Halipa Que Laurente (Rashdi), a tenacious and determined individual whose strong ties to his roots and faith in God shape his every endeavor. Much like a quarterback who knows how to find his teammates, Rashdi values and respects all life forms, understanding that even the smallest organism plays a critical role in the grand scheme. With a BS Biology degree from the University of the Philippines Diliman, his passion for health and service reflects his desire to contribute meaningfully to his field and community. Beyond academics, Rashdi channels his energy and discipline into his love for sports like basketball and badminton and his passion for singing. As he steps onto life’s field, Rashdi draws strength from the camaraderie and shared purpose offered by the Fraternity. Arriving from the crossroads of Luzon and Visayas, Al Christian Navarro Mabute (Almabs) of Masbate City, Masbate has journeyed far, driven by a relentless pursuit of truth. Much like a quarterback scanning the field for the best play, Almabs brings his scientific rigor in Physics and Medicine as a graduate of BS Applied Physics from the University of the Philippines Manila. Beyond his academic prowess, he showcases his versatility with talents in piano, guitar, and bajo de arco, alongside excelling in table tennis and frisbee. Now, he’s ready to bring his unique playbook of skills and passion to the Fold, poised to make an impact as part of a unified team.
Marc Daniel Umali Marquez (Morky), hailing from Oriental Mindoro with a Public Health degree from the University of the Philippines Manila, has always been in search of light—his journey illuminated by music, art, and sports. Much like a quarterback seeking to connect with every teammate on the field, Morky channels his diverse talents in playing instruments like the violin, piano, and guitar, while also capturing life’s moments through photography. Off the field, he dedicates himself to maintaining peak performance through tennis, ultimate frisbee, archery, basketball, and strength training. When Morky entered the College of Medicine at the University of the Philippines, it felt like he had finally found his end zone—the bright, guiding light of the Most Venerable Fold. He’s now committed to staying in the game, continuously refining his skills, and bringing honor to the fold with every play he makes.
From the land of the largest lake in the country, rich in cultural heritage and agriculture, rises Myk Timothy Herbosa Masa (Tim), a player full of enthusiasm and determination, ready to take on life’s toughest challenges. A proud graduate of BS Biology, Major in Zoology, from UP Los Baños, Tim’s deep fascination with the sciences and his commitment to service reflect a mindset focused on strategy and precision, always working towards the team’s success. Beyond academics, Tim excels on the basketball court, his competitive spirit driving him, while his creative side shines through the drums and guitar, adding to his versatility. With his commitment to the Fraternity, Tim is eager to step up, grow alongside his brothers, and embody the Fraternity’s Pillars.
Hailing from the storied city of Malolos, Bulacan, Sadao Mejares Jr. (Sadao) steps onto the field as a determined and steadfast player, fueled by an insatiable curiosity for life’s playbook. A graduate of BS Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from the University of the Philippines Diliman, Sadao has spent years mastering the intricate formations and strategies of life sciences, guided by precision and a relentless drive for discovery. Off the field, Sadao is no stranger to adventure. Whether skiing down alpine slopes like a wide receiver making a breakaway catch, hiking rugged trails with the endurance of a linebacker, or immersing himself in the lively cultures of the world like a seasoned coach absorbing new play styles, he approaches life with the heart of a true competitor. Sherwin John Yu Navarro (Sherwin) is the kind of player you want on your team—intense, laser-focused in the face of pressure, and always ready to audible into humor when the game of life calls for it. A graduate of BS Biochemistry from the University of the Philippines Manila, Sherwin plays a dual role as a health promoter and a coach, breaking down complex concepts for others like a seasoned quarterback dissecting defensive schemes. Off the field of medicine, Sherwin spends his downtime reading books, battling in Pokémon tournaments, watching UFC fights, hitting the gym, and swimming. Guided by the Fraternity’s pillars of Excellence, Service, Leadership, and Brotherhood, Sherwin’s goal is to honor his Fraternity by carrying these values into every snap, drive, and touchdown of his journey.
Hailing from the vibrant Quezon City, Santino Raphael Lingan Palmiery (Santi) takes the field as a powerhouse of versatility and excellence, proving that a well-rounded game plan is key to success. A graduate of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from the University of the Philippines Diliman, Santi has pushed the boundaries of genetic engineering research, making plays that redefine the game, all while perfecting his craft as a classical pianist—a discipline he’s honed with nearly two decades of unwavering dedication. Santi doesn’t stop there. Off the field of medicine, he’s a relentless adventurer, immersing himself in diverse cultures and experiences with the spirit of a running back breaking through defenses. His leadership stands as a cornerstone of his legacy, guiding his college organizations like a seasoned coach, championing initiatives that drive results, and inspiring his teammates to work toward shared goals with vision and purpose.
Rafael Angelo de Borja Taracatac (Raf), from Tarlac City, Tarlac, takes the field as a determined and compassionate player with a game-changing passion for public health. A graduate of BS Public Health from the University of the Philippines Manila, Raf is dedicated to advancing the well-being of his community, much like a seasoned quarterback leading his team to victory with precision and care. Off the field, Raf is a versatile athlete with a love for Ultimate Frisbee—darting across the field like a wide receiver—and a musical playmaker, skillfully navigating the piano and guitar. When it’s time to unwind, Raf is just as competitive in gaming, whether he’s making clutch plays in Valorant or exploring new strategies in the world of Pokémon. With an unyielding drive, Raf is ready to carry the name of the Phi Kappa Mu, embodying its legacy of excellence.
Although often seen as laid-back, Alexander Justin Cobrado Villanueva (JVill) shows the grit and resilience needed to take on any challenge that comes his way. A proud graduate of BS Biology from the University of the Philippines Los Baños, JVill has embraced the journey to the Most Venerable Fold, where he’s ready to tackle every obstacle in his medical school path, much like a player preparing for the next big game. He thrives on teamwork, especially on the basketball court, where his competitive edge comes alive, and his creative spirit finds its outlet through singing, playing the guitar, and songwriting. In his downtime, he enjoys the strategy and thrill of multiplayer online battle arenas like Mobile Legends. With a growth mindset, JVill is determined to take every opportunity for self-improvement, all while upholding the pillars of the Fraternity and staying committed to the success of the team.
