Bringing the arcade to the rave setting last August 31, the Phi Kappa Mu Fraternity and the Phi Lambda Delta Sorority brought the chill vibes of video games to the hype of a party with Disorientation: Game On! Year after year, the classic formula of Disorientation welcomes the newest members of the UP college of medicine family, but this year, added to the mix are the chill vibes of the arcade.
The roof of Benitez Place was certainly raised as the hosts, Dan Go and Nicole Alberto led the players to a night full of experience points and treasures, from the giveaways to the games, there was no dull moment. The freshmen were given a game to test their wits on anatomy, while practicing teamwork with Ano To’ Me, prizes were given, raffles were won, indeed the main quest was worthwhile.
Thought the main quest had ended, the boss fight had come, as the boss of music, NAZU, gave the rest of the night the beats needed to dance the night away.
Side quests were then opened to the freshmen with prizes awaiting provided by the sponsors, but not without a challenge. These side quests included Mario’s 1-up race, Tic Tac Toast, Puddle Jumper, with classic video games Mario Kart and Just Dance to certainly get them the experience of a lifetime. And to replenish the health points after, Food and drinks from the organizers and sponsors such as Tanduay were served to the hungry players who needed a power-up for the rest of the night!
The tradition of Disorientation lives on year after year, bringing a warm welcome to the newest members of UPCM and continues to be an experience that should be gained. Indeed, nothing beats a night of video games, quests, side quests, food, drinks, and the warmth of PHI. Disorientation: Game On! was a treasure room of fun experiences and great memories.
