Selfless service is a calling that few truly answer. It is the voluntary effort given to aid the less fortunate regardless of the situation, the time or the circumstance. It is in these troubled times, of natural disasters and unavoidable calamities that the brotherhood of the Phi Kappa Mu reaffirms its motto of Service that seeks no glory.

The Phi Kappa Mu Fraternity is proud to team up with the relief operations conducted by the Department of Social Welfare and Development. Continuing our years of voluntary service to the typhoon relief efforts held in the National Resource Operations Center in Pasay, brods from the different batches of the brotherhood selflessly gave up their time in order to package the basic goods to be sent out to the victims of typhoon Maring last August 22, 2013. More than 500 bags of rice, canned goods and noodles were prepared by the brods as they joined the hundreds of volunteers in the preparation of these urgently needed commodities.

Brods also attended the different relief operations conducted in the UP Manila compound, aiding in the efforts of the UP College of Medicine Student Council as well as the relief operations of the UP Manila College of Arts and Sciences. We shall continue to persevere in these worthwhile endeavors and would like to encourage those who hear the calling of Service to join such relief operations or donate to the relief goods drive hosted by the Phi Kappa Mu.

Established in August 1933 by the UP College of Medicine's best medical students, the PHI KAPPA MU (Fraternity of the College of Medicine) continues to uphold its tested tradition of Excellence, Leadership, Service and Brotherhood in the College, University and in our country.

Through the Fraternity's ideals and pillars, her Loyal Sons continue to lead, innovate and excel in the practice of medicine worldwide and in preserving the honor and integrity of the medical profession.
